The BG 56 and 66 blowers, together with the SH 56 suction shredder, continue to be equipped with the previous filter STH/42411201800. The new filter material stands out for its oil- and water-repellent characteristics of the filter quality more than 70% finer compared to the current filter concept, and for its excellent cleaning properties, which remain even after many cleaning cycles. The large surface area of ??the HD2 filter is given by the pleating of the material. Since the new HD2-filter can be cleaned, if subjected to normal stress, it will last for the entire life of the equipment. Cleaning the air filter If the engine power drops noticeably, carefully tap the filter or blow it from the inside with compressed air. Perform basic cleaning of the filter if tapping or blowing is not sufficient, or in case of stubborn dirt or stuck filter fabric. The damaged filter must be replaced. Wash the filter with STIHL special cleaner (on request) or with clean, non-flammable cleaning liquid (e.g. warm soapy water); wash with a jet of water from the inside out; do not use a high pressure washer; dry the filter – do not subject it to excessive heat. Do not oil the filter. With the introduction of the new HD2 filter the following components of the air filter system change. Previous components continue to be available as replacements.
